Rental Transport Whitsundays Australia

Perfect for travelling couples, families, adventurous individuals and groups of friends, rental transport is a great way of getting around and about the Whitsunday Islands. The three most popular forms of rental transport specifically concerning the Whitsunday Islands include golf buggies, jet skis and sailing vessels. As many of the resort islands are minimally populated and other are uninhabited, cars and other motorised vehicles are of limited use on the majority of islands.

On the largest populated Whitsunday Island, known as Hamilton Island, transport comes in the form of a regular shuttle bus service, walking or golf buggy hire. Of course the most popular transportation system is on the back of a golf buggy, excellently made to travel on the sealed roads at a maximum speed limit of 20 kilometres per hour.

With rental companies found on a couple of resort islands and the Airlie Beach mainland, jet ski hire is a great way to spend an action packed amount of time exploring the stunning Coral Sea waters. Glide across the water on a tandem or individual ski, while venturing out with a guided tour group or by oneself.

Thirdly, sailing vessels are another popular form of transport, which obviously cover a larger amount of glorious ocean water than a jet ski. Bareboat or ‘skipper yourself’, charters allow island guests a chance to discover the Whitsunday Islands at leisure, while enjoying the fully equipped, specifically selected sailing vessel.

Any visit to the Whitsunday Islands can be made easier with the use of rental equipment. Although golf buggies, jet skis and bareboat sailing vessels are available all year round, it is recommended to book any vehicle or craft in advance during the school holidays.
